APPROVAL AMENDMENT NO. 4 TO AGREEMENT NO. 15-1001119 FOR N. FIRST AVENUE
OVERHEAD BRIDGE OVER BNSF RAILROAD TRACKS
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
Request approval of Amendment No. 4 to Agreement No. 15-100199 with San Bernardino County Transportation Authority (SBCTA) for North First Avenue Overhead Bridge over BNSF Railroad Tracks.
DISCUSSION:
The City of Barstow and SBCTA entered into Amendment No. 3 to Project Funding Agreement 15- 100119 on or about September 2, 2020 to remove the construction phase and revise the project funding for the project and the parties now desire to amend the agreement to revise the project funding for the project based on the updated project estimate and available funding sources. Additionally, the parties need to extend the termination date of the agreement to July 31, 2025 to cover the design support services during construction and ad-built preparation during the project closeout phase.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Increase of $164,000.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Staff recommends that the City Council take the following actions:
1. Approve Project Funding Agreement 15-100119, Amendment 4 for the North First Avenue Overhead Bridge over BNSF Railroad with the City and SBCTA.
2. Approve funding amounts per Attachment B.
