AFTER-EVENT REPORT AND PRESENTATION BY DOS COSTAS COMMUNICATIONS
CORPORATION
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
Representative(s) from Dos Costas Communications Corporation will be providing an after-event report and presentation on the 16th Annual New Mexico Chili Cook-Off & Belen Fiesta held on April 9, 2022.
DISCUSSION:
At the October 18, 2021, City Council meeting, Council granted a Community Promotional Fund donation in the amount of $1,000 and waiver of fees in the amount of $2,800 to Dos Costas Communications Corporation to help offset the costs of the 16th Annual New Mexico Chili Cook-Off & Belen Fiesta held on April 9, 2022. Waiver of fees included the costs for the Parks and Recreation staff to help with set up and clean up, the cost for outside electric and water charges, and the use of spider boxes. The monetary grant and waiver of fees were included in the FY 2021-2022 budget.
Per the Policy, applicants who are awarded a promotional fund grant or in-kind services must commit to providing an after-event report and presentation to the City Council outlining how the group used the funding provided by the City of Barstow for benefit of the community. Dos Costas Communications Corporation, as a recipient of a community promotional fund grant, will be providing its after-event report and presentation.
