COMMUNITY PROMOTIONAL FUND APPLICATION FROM BABIES SO SPECIAL EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
Babies So Special, is asking for financial assistance to help offset the costs of the Light Up the Night Glow in the Dark 5K Neon Color Run to be held on October 15, 2022, at the Robert A. Sessions Memorial Sports Park.
DISCUSSION:
Babies So Special is hosting the Light Up The Night Glow In The Dark 5K Neon Color Run on October 15, 2022 at the Robert A. Sessions Memorial Sports Park to raise money and bring awareness to the disabled community. The event will encompass the whole family/community and will feature music, dancing, food vendors, face painting, photo booth, and more.
Attached is the Community Promotional Fund Application along with supporting documents for Council review. Per the Community Promotional Fund Policy, the City will accept Community Promotional Fund applications during the course of each fiscal year until the contingency funding allocation has been exhausted.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Year-to-date fee waivers and in-kind donations for Fiscal Year 2022-2023 total $36,576.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Approve Community Promotional Fund donation in the amount of $2,561.34 for waiver of fees for use of the Robert A. Sessions Memorial Sports Park in the amount of $2,000 and $561.34 for four (4) Recreation Leaders.
