FINAL ACCEPTANCE OF LILLIAN PARK RESTROOM REPLACEMENT FOR ADA COMPLIANCE PROJECT NO. 2020-03
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
Staff is requesting the City Council to authorize Final Acceptance of the Lillian Park Restroom Replacement for ADA compliance by filing the attached Notice of Completion.
DISCUSSION:
On June 21, 2021, the City Council approved a contract with RS Construction and Development for the replacement of the restrooms at Lillian Park. The removal and installation of the restroom has been completed in compliance with the approved plans and specifications. Staff is requesting the City Council approve the final acceptance of the project and authorize staff to submit the required Notice of Completion to the San Bernardino County Recorder’s Office. This project has experienced several delays due to vandalism from the public. The restrooms have been covered in graffiti and the door closures have been damaged to the point of replacement.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The approved total project budget was $316,129.75 and the project was completed for $262,191.75. This initiative was completed under budget by $53,938.00
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Staff Recommends the City Council take the following actions:
1. Approve the Final Acceptance of Project No. 2020-03, Lillian Park Restroom Replacement for ADA Compliance.
2. Authorize staff to file the attached Notice of Completion.
