A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE BARSTOW FIRE
PROTECTION DISTRICT, A SUBSIDIARY DISTRICT OF THE CITY OF BARSTOW, AMENDING THE BARSTOW FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT’S CONFLICT OF
INTEREST CODE WHICH INCORPORATES BY REFERENCE THE STANDARD
CONFLICT OF INTEREST CODE PREPARED BY THE FAIR POLITICAL PRACTICES
COMMISSION AND REPEALING ANY PRIOR RESOLUTIONS ESTABLISHING A
BARSTOW FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT CONFLICT OF INTEREST CODE
THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE BARSTOW FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT OF BARSTOW DOES HEREBY FIND, RESOLVE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Political Reform Act, Government Code Sections 81000, et seq., requires the District to adopt, and biennially update, a Conflict of Interest Code for each of its departments.
Section 2. The Fair Political Practices Commission has adopted a standard Conflict of Interest Code, attached hereto as Exhibit A. The standard code is codified at 2 Cal.
Administrative Code Section 18730, can be incorporated by reference by the District and will be amended to conform to amendments to the Political Reform Act.
Section 3. The standard Conflict of Interest Code adopted by the Fair Political Practices Commission attached hereto as Exhibit A, and as amended from time to time, and Appendices A and B, which set forth the designated positions and the disclosure categories for each District officer or employee, are herein incorporated by reference and constitute the Conflict of Interest Code for each department of the District.
Section 4. Persons holding designated positions listed in the appendices shall file statements of economic interest pursuant to Section 4 of the Conflict of Interest Code.
Section 5. Any prior resolutions establishing a District Conflict of Interest Code are hereby repealed.
