CHANGE OF OFFICERS FOR YEAR 2023
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
Approve the 2023 Change of Officers for the Harvey House Foundation. Accept the 'Statement of Information' and 'Statement of Facts' forms reflecting updated information.
DISCUSSION:
Subject to Sections 5.01 and 5.02 of the Foundation's Bylaws (amended in 1993 in Resolution No. 2-93- BHHF), the Mayor of the City of Barstow shall always serve as the President of the Corporation, the Mayor Pro Tem shall always serve as the Vice President of the Corporation, the City Clerk shall always serve as the Secretary of the Corporation, and the City Treasurer shall always serve as the Chief Financial Officer of the Corporation.
Section 5.02, except as provided in Section 5.01 and except in the case of the initial officers designated by the incorporator, states each officer shall hold office correspondingly with election to the following City Offices and until the term to such office expires, or until the death, resignation or removal of such officer.
As a result of the November 8, 2022, General Municipal Election, Carmen Hernandez was elected as Council Member for District 1 for the full term of four years and Mayor Pro Tem James M. Noble was elected for District 2 for the full term for four years. The officers roster for the Harvey House Foundation has been updated reflecting the changes noted above:
