INTRODUCTION AND FIRST READING OF ORDINANCE ____-2023 OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BARSTOW AMENDING CHAPTER 2.04 OF THE BARSTOW MUNICIPAL CODE REGARDING CITY COUNCIL MEETING TIME AND PLACE AND REPEALING ORDINANCE 889-2011 EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
The City Council is asked to consider changing the day and time of the City Council meeting to the first and third Tuesday of each month at 6:00 p.m.
DISCUSSION:
Mayor Courtney and Councilmember Dyer Kruse have requested a discussion on changing the City Council meeting day and time. The City Council is asked to consider changing the day and time of the City Council meeting to the first and third Tuesday of each month at 6:00 p.m. The City Council is also being asked to approve the 1st reading and introduction of Ordinance ____-2023 amending Chapter 2.04 of the Barstow Municipal Code.
FISCAL IMPACT:
None
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
1. Approve the first reading and introduction of Ordinance ____-2023 by title only.
2. Direct the City Clerk to publish Ordinance ____-2023 according to Government Code Section 36933.
3. Direct the City Clerk to bring Ordinance ____-2023 back for the second reading and adoption at the February 21, 2023 meeting.
