COMMUNITY PROMOTIONAL FUND APPLICATION FROM THE BARSTOW CHAMBER OF
COMMERCE
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
To help offset the costs of the 40th Annual Community Recognition Awards to be held on March 31, 2023, the Barstow Chamber of Commerce is asking the City to waive the fees associated with the use of the Cora Harper Center in the amount of $2,000.
DISCUSSION:
The Barstow Chamber of Commerce will be hosting their Annual Community Recognition Awards Ceremony on March 31, 2023, at the Cora Harper Center. This is the time to honor all that have helped create a positive change in Barstow. They are requesting a waiver of fees in the amount of $2,000 for use of the Cora Harper Center.
Attached is the Community Promotional Fund Application along with supporting documents for Council review.
FISCAL IMPACT:
$2,000 of in-kind donations of fee waivers. For Fiscal Year 2022-2023 total charged to 102.150.542.07.755 of in-kind donations of fee waivers total $44,137.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Approve Community Promotional Fund donation in the amount of $2,000 for waiver of fees for the use of the Cora Harper Center.
