COMMUNITY PROMOTIONAL FUND APPLICATION FROM BARSTOW COMMUNITY COALITION/DESERT SANCTUARY INC.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
To help offset the costs of hosting the Community Resource Fair and Veteran's Connection on June 29, 2023 to inform residents of existing resources in the area, the Barstow Community Coalition/Desert Sanctuary Inc. is asking the City to waive the fees associated with the use of the Cora Harper Fitness Center in the amount of $2,000.
DISCUSSION:
The Barstow Community Coalition/Desert Sanctuary Inc. will be hosting the Community Resource Fair and Veteran's Connection on June 29, 2023 to inform residents of existing resources in the area. The Barstow Community Coalition/Desert Sanctuary Inc. is asking the City to waive the fees associated with the use of the Cora Harper Fitness Center in the amount of $2,000. Attached is the Community Promotional Fund Application along with supporting documents for Council review.
FISCAL IMPACT:
$2,000 of in-kind donations of fee waivers. Cash grant awards to-date for Fiscal Year 2022-2023 total $2,000 charged to 102.150.542.07.755 and in-kind donations of fee waivers totaling $48,637.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Approve Community Promotional Fund in-kind donation in the amount of $2,000 for waiver of fees for use of the Cora Harper Center.
