SENATE BILL 1100 WORKSHOP
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
At the January 31, 2023 Rules and Policies Committee meeting, Councilmembers Dyer Kruse and Rose requested that a workshop be held on Senate Bill 1100, which was signed into law in August 2022 and amends the Brown Act to provide clarification regarding the authority of a local agency’s governing body to remove a disruptive member of the public from an open meeting, in order to maintain order during the meeting. In addition, Rosenbergs Rules of Order and the adopted Code of Ethics/Conduct will also be discussed.
