EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
Ordinance No. 1021-2023, amending Chapter 15.08 (Building Codes), adopting by reference and amending the 2022 edition of the California Building Standards Code, is presented for its second reading and adoption.

DISCUSSION:
At the regularly scheduled City Council meeting on December 4, 2023, Ordinance No. 1021-2023, amending Chapter 15.08 (Building Codes), adopting by reference and amending the 2022 edition of the California Building Standards Code, was brought before the Council for its first reading by title only and was approved unanimously.
The ordinance is now presented for its second reading and adoption.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There are no fiscal impacts to the City as this ordinance only adopts and amends the 2022 California Building Codes.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Ordinance No. 1021-2023, amending Chapter 15.08 (Building Codes), adopting by reference and amending the 2022 edition of the California Building Standards Code, by title only and waive the full reading.
