APPROVAL OF TRAVEL FOR CITY CLERK ANDREA FLORES TO ATTEND THE CMC INSTITUTE, FEBRUARY 20 - 23, 2024, IN SAN MARCOS, CA
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
It is requested that the City Council approve travel to attend the CMC Institute in San Marcos, CA for City Clerk Andrea Flores.
DISCUSSION:
Certified Municipal Clerks Institure-100 will be held on February 20-23, 2024 in San Marcos, CA. This series is an introductory series designed for all employees in the profession. In addition to general principles of local, state and federal governance, students will also acquire an understanding of how the municipal clerk profession interacts with internal stakeholders within a government environment. Students will also gain an understanding of the routine responsibilities housed within a municipal clerk office.
It is requested that the City Council approve attendance at the CMC Institute for City Clerk Andrea Flores.
The estimated costs to attend this workshop are as follows:
Registration $ 400.00
Travel/Transportation $ 275.00
Meals $ 250.00
Hotel $ 725.00
TOTAL $ 1,650.00
FISCAL IMPACT:
Funds are available in the FY 2023/24 budget from General Fund Account No. 100.110.132.03.301.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Approve travel for City Clerk Andrea Flores to attend the CMC Institute, February 20 - 23, 2024, in San Marcos, CA.
