COMMUNITY PROMOTIONAL FUND APPLICATION FROM ON THE RISE, INC. - CALEB'S COLOR RUN
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
On The Rise Inc, is asking for financial assistance to help offset the costs of Caleb's 5K Color Run to be held on March 8, 2024, at the Robert A. Sessions Memorial Sports Park. On The Rise, Inc. is asking the City to waive the fees associated with the use of Robert A. Sessions Memorial Sports Park in the amount of $2,000.
DISCUSSION:
On The Rise, Inc. is hosting a fundraiser on March 9, 2024, called Caleb's 5K Color Run at the Robert A.
Sessions Memorial Sports Park to raise money and bring awareness to the disabled community. The event will encompass the whole family/community and will feature music, dancing, food vendors, face painting, photo booth, magician, stand-up comedy, and more. Attached is the Community Promotional Fund Application along with supporting documents for Council review.
FISCAL IMPACT:
$2,000 plus staff time of in-kind donations of fee waivers. For Fiscal Year 2023-2024, total charged to 102.150.542.07.755 of in-kind donations of fee waivers total $40,918 YTD.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Approve Community Promotional Fund donation in the amount of $2,000 for waiver of fees for use of the Robert A. Sessions Memorial Sports Park.
