FINAL ACCEPTANCE FOR THE DIGESTER REHAB PROJECT, PROJECT WW-21-002 EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
Staff is requesting the City Council to authorize the Final Acceptance of the Pond Pumping System Project at the Wastewater Treatment Plant by filing the Notice of Completion.
DISCUSSION:
On August 16, 2021, the City Council approved a contract to Pacific Hydrotech Corp for the installation of new updated Aerobic Digester equipment and a new solar carport. The installation of the new aerobic digester equipment and the new solar carport has been completed in compliance with the approved plans and specifications. Staff is requesting the City Council to approve the Final Acceptance of the project and authorize staff to submit the required Notice of Completion to the San Bernardino County Recorder.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The original approved and awarded contract for this project was for 3,427,200.00 and after reconciling all expenses, the completed cost came to 3,548,693.72, not exceeding 10% of the approved budget. While this project was impacted by COVID `and came in just over budget and behind the original schedule the wastewater treatment plant is already seeing positive impacts on the treatment process. Account 400.803.319.20.605 Wastewater CIP.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Staff recommends the City Council to take the following actions:
1. Approve the Acceptance of Project WW-21-002, Aerobic Digester Rehab Project
2. Authorize staff to file a Notice of Completion
