AFTER-EVENT REPORT AND PRESENTATION BY DOS COSTAS COMMUNICATIONS
CORPORATION
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
Representative(s) from Dos Costas Communications Corporation will be providing an after-event report and presentation on the 18th Annual New Mexico Chili Cook-Off & Belen Fiesta held on April 6, 2024.
DISCUSSION:
At the July 17, 2023, City Council meeting, the Council granted a Community Promotional Fund donation for $1,500 in cash and a fee waiver of $3,420 in fees to Dos Costas Communications Corporation to help offset the costs of the 18th Annual New Mexico Chili Cook-Off & Belen Fiesta held on April 6, 2024.
Waiver of fees included the costs for the Parks and Recreation staff to help with set up and clean up, the cost for outside electric and water charges, and the use of spider boxes. The monetary grant and waiver of fees were included in the FY 2023-2024 budget.
Per the Policy, applicants who are awarded a promotional fund grant or in-kind services must commit to providing an after-event report and presentation to the City Council outlining how the group used the funding provided by the City of Barstow for the benefit of the community. As a recipient of a community promotional fund grant, Dos Costas Communications Corporation will be providing its after-event report and presentation.
