Notice is hereby given that a hearing has been scheduled before the Barstow City Council at 7:00 p.m., August 19, 2024, to hear your protest and/or objection on the assessment for the unpaid costs that accrued as a result of nuisance abatement. On June 24, 2024, you were notified in writing of the balance due to the City of Barstow to cover the expenses to abate the parcel.
After the adoption of the proposed resolution on Monday, August 5, 2024, a lien will be placed against the property if the balance due is not received in full by 5 pm on Thursday, August 1st, 2024. The special assessment will consist of the delinquent amount, penalties and interest, and fees; additionally, you will be responsible for the administrative cost associated with recording and releasing the lien.
