APPROVAL OF TRAVEL FOR CITY CLERK ANDREA FLORES TO ATTEND THE LEAGUE OF CALIFORNIA CITIES CITY CLERK WORKSHOP, OCTOBER 16, 2024, IN LONG BEACH, CA EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
It is requested that the City Council approve travel to the League of California Cities City Clerk Workshop in Long Beach, CA for City Clerk Andrea Flores.
DISCUSSION:
The League of California Cities City Clerk Workshop will be held on September 20, 2023, in Sacramento, CA. This workshop will focus on trends for the November 2024 local and statewide elections, related legislation and case law, and best practices when preparing for the election. It is requested that the City Council approve attendance at this workshop for City Clerk Andrea Flores. The estimated costs to attend this workshop are as follows:
Registration $ 175.00
Travel/Transportation $ 145.00
Meals $ 150.00
Hotel $ 235.42
TOTAL $ 705.42
FISCAL IMPACT:
Funds are available in the FY 2024/25 budget from General Fund Account No. 100.110.132.03.301.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Approve travel for City Clerk Andrea Flores to the League of California Cities City Clerk Workshop on October 16, 2024, in Long Beach, CA.
