EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
Growing Outreach Growing Opportunities is seeking financial assistance to help offset the costs of hosting their event "Spirit of Giving" on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at Cora Harper for the amount of $1,000 in cash and $1,193.16 of in-kind fee waiver.
DISCUSSION:
Growing Outreach Growing Opportunities is organizing an event titled "Spirit of Giving" on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at Cora Harper. The organization is seeking a cash donation of $1,000 to assist with purchasing Thanksgiving food items for distribution to those in need.
Attached, you will find the Community Promotional Fund Application, proof of 501(c)(3) status, and the itemized budget for the event, all prepared in accordance with the Community Promotional Fund policy for Council review.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Request for a cash grant award of $1,000 and $750 donation charged to account Measure Q Community Promotional Fund 102.150.542.07.755.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Staff recommends that the Council authorize a Community Promotional Fund donation of $1,000 along with $750 of in-kind fee waiver contributions to Growing Outreach Growing Opportunities.
