The attached information and clarifications constitute Addendum #1 for the City of Barstow Project #2024-1000 - Public Facility Ventilation Upgrades at the Cora Harper Community Center • See RFI's and answers below.
• See attached VRV Selection Report for project Information. • See attached photos of existing roofing.
• The addendum is to be acknowledged on the Review Certification sheet attached. This sheet must be attached to the official bid.
• The Project Bid Date has not changed. It remains December 4, 2024. Turn your bid in before 2:00pm at Barstow City Hall. Please follow all directions put forth by the project documents.
Requests for Information: (answers in red lettering)
1. DME-2A Demo Keynote 8 - "Replace Roof Sheathing, Support Structure, and roof membrane to match existing"
Is the existing roof under warranty? Who holds this warranty? LELLC Response: City has no warranty on roof. MJC, the roof membrane is a sprayed-on poly styrene with a plastic coating (see attached pictures).
2. DME-2A Demo Keynote 8 - "Replace Roof Sheathing, Support Structure, and roof membrane to match existing"
1. Please provide a spec for the roofing.
LELLC Response: Contractor is instructed to evaluate the roof on site and propose roofing that matches existing construction.
3. M-1.0 Mechanical General Notes (Detail #2) Note #5
1. Please provide a Reflected Ceiling Plan.
LELLC Response: Contractor is to provide all construction elements to satisfy the job requirements, code compliance, City standards, and manufacturers installation instruction at no additional cost to the city.

4. DME-2B Demo Keynote 7 & 8. Please clarify if grills inside the "boxing Room" and "Racquetball Court" are to be demoed and patched back?
LELLC Response: Yes, demo all grilles. patch back, and finish ceiling to match existing. Similarly Key Note 1 and 2 references also demo existino chiller, equipment and piping.
5. Please provide mounting details for fan coils, air handlers, intake vents, exhaust vents, outdoor condensing units.
LELLC Response: Contractor is to provide all construction elements to satisfy the job requirements, code compliance, City standards, and manufacturers installation instruction at no additional cost to the city.
Reference Appendix #5, Contractor is to provide all modeling and documentation at no additional cost to the city. The contractor is to model all construction elements including all mounting/supports and provide shop drawings and fabrication drawings for engineers' review.
