CANNABIS REVENUE PRESENTATION
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
In Fiscal Year 2022, the City of Barstow began collecting license, inspection, operating, and community benefit program fees in relation to commercial cannabis businesses. This presentation shall provide information on the commercial cannabis revenues that have been collected from the program's inception thorough February 2025.
DISCUSSION:
On October 4, 2021, the Barstow City Council adopted comprehensive regulations for commercial cannabis businesses, including the collection of initial application, annual license renewal, inspection, and operating fees. The City Council also approved a Community Benefit Program that is funded by commercial cannabis businesses. The presentation this evening will highlight revenues collected from the inception of the City's commercial cannabis business ordinance through February 2025.
