RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BARSTOW DECLARING ITS INTENTION
TO SET THE TIME, DATE AND PLACE FOR A PROTEST HEARING FOR PROPERTY ABATEMENT COSTS AND PENALTIES FOR MAY 20, 2025 AT 7:00 PM. APN # 0181-247-04-0000 EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
Set time, date and place for a protest hearing for Property Abatement Fines and Penalties for Tuesday, May 20, 2025 at 7:00 PM for APN # 0181-247-04-0000.
DISCUSSION:
Pursuant to Barstow Municipal Code Section 6.30.130, staff is requesting the Council set a time, date and place for hearing any objections or protests on a Property Abatement account. The required notices are being sent to the delinquent property owner.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The account will be forwarded to the County of San Bernardino. Upon adoption of the resolution, the past due nuisance abatement will be added to the property owne'rs property tax bill for collection. At this time, there is $27,749.50 in past due nuisance abatement fees.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Approve Resolution No. ____-2025, setting the date and time for a protest hearing for Property Abatement Costs and Penalties for Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at 7:00 PM in the Council Chambers and waive the full reading for APN# 181-241-04-0000.
