COMMUNITY PROMOTIONAL FUND APPLICATION FROM BABIES SO SPECIAL EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
Babies So Special, is asking for in kind financial assistance in the amount of $3000 to help offset the costs of the Light Up the Night Glow in the Dark 5K Neon Color Run to be held on October 11, 2025, at the Robert A. Sessions Memorial Sports Park.
DISCUSSION:
The Light Up The Night Glow in the Dark 5K Neon Color Run is scheduled for Saturday, October 11, 2025, at the Robert A. Sessions Memorial Sports Park. The event is designed to attract participation from residents, visitors, and the broader community, thereby supporting tourism, community engagement, and local business exposure.
Per the Community Promotional Fund Policy, the City accepts applications during the fiscal year until the contingency funding allocation has been exhausted. The attached application and supporting documents have been submitted in accordance with policy requirements for Council review and consideration.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Approval of this request would result in an in-kind contribution valued at $3,000 to be charged to the Measure Q Community Promotional Fund Account No. 102.150.542.07.755.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
That the City Council approve a Community Promotional Fund in-kind donation, in the amount of $3,000, for the waiver of fees for Babies So Special for the Light Up The Night Glow in the Dark 5K Neon Color Run scheduled for October 11, 2025, at the Robert A. Sessions Memorial Sports Park.
