RETROACTIVE APPROVAL OF TRAVEL FOR CITY CLERK ANDREA FLORES TO ATTEND THE LEAGUE OF CALIFORNIA CITIES - NEW LAW SEMINAR, NOVEMBER 12 - 14, 2025 IN LOS
ANGELES, CA
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
It is requested that the City Council approve travel to the League of California Cities New Law Seminar in Los Angeles, CA for City Clerk Andrea Flores.
DISCUSSION:
The League of California Cities City Clerk New Law Seminar was held November 12-14, 2025, in Los Angeles, California. The workshop focused on legal publication requirements, new laws, and election updates presented by Secretary of State Shirley Weber, related legislation and case law, and best practices for election preparation.
It is requested that the City Council approve attendance at this workshop for City Clerk Andrea Flores.
The estimated costs to attend are as follows:
Registration $ 600.00
Travel/Meals $ 230.00
Hotel $ 716.00
TOTAL $ 1,546.00
FISCAL IMPACT:
Funds are available in the FY 2025/26 budget from General Fund Account No. 100.110.132.03.301.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
