AWARD OF CONTRACT FOR JANITORIAL SERVICES- PARKS
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
Staff has completed the review of the proposals submitted to the City of Barstow for the Request for Proposal (RFP) of Security Guard Services for the purpose of providing professional Janitorial Services for city-wide designated restrooms and facilities.
The city had several bidders on this Request for Proposal. Titan Janitorial was selected based on their competitive price and their extensive experience and current contract with outstanding service provided to the CIty of Barstow.
DISCUSSION:
The purpose of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is to select the most-qualified Contractor to Provide Janitorial Services for the City of Barstow. The City wishes to obtain janitorial services for all City facilities mentioned under a Professional Services Agreement. The City will award no more than one contract on a not-to-exceed basis.
The City of Barstow is seeking a contractor qualified to provide janitorial services to all City Park facilities. The service task shall include but will not be limited to the information shown below. If the contractor believes that additional tasks are warranted, it must be clearly identified in the contractor’s proposal as a “suggested task” with a “suggested price” as well. The City will maintain the authority to accept or reject the suggested tasks.

FISCAL IMPACT:
The Fiscal Impact for the remainder of FY26 is $39,000 paid from the General Fund and available in the adopted budget.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Staff recommends that the City Council award the Professional Services Agreement to Titan Janitorial for Parks Janitorial Services and authorize the City Manager to execute all necessary documents.
