APPROVAL OF PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT FOR CITY-WIDE LANDSCAPE
MAINTENANCE SERVICES
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
Staff has completed the review of the proposals submitted to the City of Barstow for the Request for Proposal (RFP) for City-Wide Landscape Maintenance.
The city received one bid for this RFP. Lasting Images Landscape was selected based on their competitive pricing and their extensive experience with surrounding cities in the High Desert.
DISCUSSION:
The RFP was intended to solicit information and proposals for landscape maintenance services from qualified landscape contractors. Landscape maintenance shall include, but not be limited to, City facilities, parks, rights of way, street-scapes and planters, parking lots, trails, and all proposed square footage that will be dedicated to the City with future development which may include new parks, streets, gutters, sidewalks, turf, shrubs, ground cover, and irrigation and drainage, as designated in this Proposal.
The Contractor is required by law to be licensed and regulated by the Contractors’ State License Board. The performance period becomes effective upon execution of the Agreement by both parties and shall continue in full force and effective for one year with the possibility of extension on a year by year basis.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The Fiscal Impact for the remainder of FY26 is $48,270. It will be funded from the General Fund and available in the adopted budget.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Staff recommends that the City Council award the Professional Services Agreement to Lasting Images Landscape, Inc., and authorize the City Manager to execute all necessary documents
