RESOLUTION NO. _______-2026
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BARSTOW MAKING
DETERMINATIONS AND CONFIRMING LIENS AND PROCEEDINGS FOR
UNPAID TRASH COLLECTION AND/OR SEWER FEES
WHEREAS, the City Manager of the City of Barstow has filed in the office of the City Clerk of said City, a lien for certain unpaid trash collection and/or sewer fees in said City, in accordance with Section 6.20.210 and 13.22.060 of the Barstow Municipal Code.
WHEREAS, the City Manager has, as required, given notice of time fixed for hearing by the City Council; and
WHEREAS, all property owners involved in this lien have been duly notified of the time and place of said hearing fifteen (15) days prior to said hearing; and WHEREAS, a hearing was held before the City Council of the City of Barstow at 6:00 p.m. on January 20, 2026, in the City Council Chambers, 220 East Mountain View Street, Barstow, California, the time and place fixed in such notice; and WHEREAS, during the aforementioned hearing, all appeals, protests or objections, if any, were duly presented and the City Council gave all persons noticed and present desiring to be heard, an opportunity to be heard in respect to any matter relating to said liens, to the corrections of said liens, or to any matter relating to said liens or the proceedings therefore; and WHEREAS, all such persons desiring to be heard were heard by the City Council and the City Council is fully informed of the premises.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BARSTOW DOES HEREBY FIND, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
1) That said hearing has been duly held; that each and every step in the proceedings prior to and including the hearing has been duly and regularly taken; that this City Council is satisfied with the correctness of the liens; the proceedings and all matters relating thereto; and that all protests, objections, or appeals are hereby overruled and denied; and the City Council does hereby confirm said proceedings and said liens. 2) That the fees for the sewer and trash collection shall be liened against the benefiting property.
3) That the parcels to be liened and the amount of said lien are set forth on Exhibit “A” attached hereto and made a part thereof.
