1. Why is your organization requesting an in-kind donation? Our organization is requesting an in-kind donation to help reduce operational costs and stretch our limited budget, allowing us to reinvest more directly into youth-focused programs. In-kind donations such as supplies, equipment, or services are critical to sustaining our efforts without placing additional financial burden on our organization or the families we serve. These contributions enable us to expand our reach and improve the quality of programs we offer to the youth of Barstow and the High Desert.

This in-kind donation will have a direct and meaningful impact on our ability to provide safe, engaging, and educational activities for High Desert youth. Whether through recreational gear, educational materials, or professional services, every donated item helps create a supportive environment where young people can thrive. It enables us to run after-school programs, mentorship opportunities, sports leagues, and other youth development initiatives that foster personal growth, teamwork, and community pride.
Ultimately, these donations help us build a brighter future for the youth of Barstow and the High Desert.

Our organization is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit in good standing. We are filed with the Lancaster Fast pitch document enclosed.
Services Provided:

Over the next two years, our organization's goals are to:
• Expand access to youth sports by recruiting and supporting new players from diverse backgrounds.
• Enhance player development through additional clinics, skill-building workshops, and mentorship programs.
• Increase community engagement through fundraising initiatives, volunteer opportunities, and collaborative events with local schools and organizations. • Maintain financial sustainability through diversified funding and sponsorships. • Our operations will focus on consistent seasonal programming, team growth, and building long-term partnerships with the City of Barstow to strengthen community involvement.
Donation Benefit
Organizational Benefit: Donations directly support equipment, uniforms, field rentals, tournament entry fees, and insurance, ensuring that no player is excluded due to financial hardship. Community Benefit: By offsetting costs, donations lower the financial burden with a zero-profit organization. Barstow residents, providing affordable access to quality youth sports and positive outlets for children. This contributes to healthier, safer, and more engaged youth in the community.
Certificate of Liability Insurance
Our organization maintains a liability insurance policy that meets the City of Barstow's requirements. The policy provides $1,000,000 in coverage and lists the City of Barstow as an additionally insured entity. A copy of the certificate will be submitted with the application. (Document enclosed)
Background Checks Procedures
All coaches, volunteers, and board members undergo annual background checks to ensure the safety and well-being of participants. These checks are conducted through accredited third-party providers. No individual is permitted to work with the youth program until clearance is confirmed. Documentation of compliance is kept on file with the organization. Usually, all our coaches are Recreational coaches who must have a background check every year. All state little league rules and followed up by district 49 Softball board.
Evidence or Proof of Funds
Our organization actively pursues multiple funding sources to ensure sustainability.
Current funding streams include Player registration fees, Sponsorships from local businesses, Community fundraising efforts such as recycling drives, raffle and Private donations.
This demonstrates that the City of Barstow is not the sole funding source, and the organization is committed to maintaining diversified financial support.
