City Of Barstow Team: 01/14/26
After meeting with city IT and PD departments along with upper city management, a proposed security camera system upgrade citywide is what is being proposed. This will be completed in three distinct phases with the goal of moving the city's camera systems into a proactive state rather than the current reactive state that the existing systems are in. This will provide much needed support to the Police Department, and overall city safety and security to city assets, properties, general public safety in public areas like parks and community centers.
Phase 1 FY 2025:
The city of Barstow currently has Identified 12 sites that will be upgraded to true digital, high resolution, high definition 4K plus Cameras and recorders with on-site Recording and the ability to remote view from police watch commander's office and dispatch center. A-Z lock and security is confident that if we were to begin this phase one at the beginning of February 2026, we would have all 12 sites completed be for before or by the end of June FY25. We will meet with IT as well as the building department to produce a schedule that works for everyone.
Phase one also includes two trailered mobile surveillance units that can be dropped off and connected to the city network for remote recording and viewing as well as a five year physical service and maintenance package so that each system can be properly serviced twice a year and also includes service calls between preventative maintenance it also increases the cities discounts on anything (Time & Materials) outside of general service and maintenance to a discount of 20% and we'll be billed yearly for the preventative maintenance portion. All cameras and on-site recording servers will have a three-year warranty and meet all the network NDAA/TAA security requirements. Phase 2 FY2026:
Phase 2 is the implementation of an enterprise class surveillance video software along with a master management server to be located in the IT room at City Hall as well as 19 storage servers to have redundancy of recording as a failsafe and backup it will need to be installed configured, and programmed once Phase 2 is approved in July FY2026 we believe we can have it installed up and running within three to four months again we will schedule with IT a proposed calendar of dates and times once The project has been approved. Which means we should have it fully deployed and operational by end of Calendar year 2026 allowing law enforcement and staff in real time to interact with the cameras remotely or on site from a proactive perspective. The proposed servers and software will have a five-year warranty that includes Dell Pro service as its systems provider along with A-Z's tech support and manufacturers tech support.
Phase 3 FY 2027:
The 3rd and final phase of this project once phase one and two are up and running will give a clear picture of what other assets and features can or will need to be added to the overall system architecture And may include additional mobile units that can be deployed and put on the system as well as other city assets and properties. Once additional assets have been identified and approved deployment and setup should be minimal 2-3 months three months and will be included in the five-year preventative maintenance program.
This is a new approach for the city of Barstow to be able to better serve its constituents and general public we have deployed these types of systems in the past at Ft. Irwin National Training Center, US Borax mining facility and several other California municipality As well as school, Airports and hospital type environments.
These systems will provide a long-term solution that can be upgraded and grown out if necessary as well as upgrades and new products that come into the market. We thank you for the opportunity to continue to earn your business based on our services and expertise.
