Notice is hereby given that a hearing has been scheduled before the Barstow City Council on March 3, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. to hear your protest and/or objection on the assessment for the unpaid costs that accrued as a result of a nuisance abatement. On December 19, 2025, you were notified in writing of the balance due to the City of Barstow to cover the expenses to abate the parcel.
After the adoption of the proposed resolution on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, a lien will be placed against the property if the balance due is not received in full by 5 pm on Thursday, February 26, 2026. The special assessment will consist of the delinquent amount, penalties, interest, and fees; additionally, you will be responsible for the administrative costs associated with recording and releasing the lien.
