NOTICE OF COMPLETION AND ACCEPTANCE OF FOGLESONG PARK FIELD LIGHTS PROJECT EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
On May 20, 2024, the Council authorized the installation of baseball field lights at Foglesong Park. The Ball field Lighting Improvements consisted of furnishing and installing a new field lighting system designed to improve nighttime visibility and enhance player and spectator safety at both ball fields located at Foglesong Park. Prior to the completion of the current project, only one ball field had lights which left one ball field unusable after dark.
DISCUSSION:
Construction activities were completed in compliance with the approved construction documents and applicable building and electrical codes. Photos of the project (Attachment B) have been attached to the staff report to depict the progress throughout the duration of the project. Final inspections confirmed that illumination levels, uniformity, and operational performance met all project requirements. On February 26, 2026, a final walk through was conducted and a performance test was held between City Staff and Musco Sports Lighting Staff. All required documents have been obtained and there are no outstanding deficiencies at this time. To finalize the project, a Notice of Completion (NOC) (Attachment A), will be recorded with the San Bernardino County Recorder.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Appropriations for the project were approved by the City Council using General Fund Acct No. 400.804.417.24.100 and Measure Q Acct No. 400.804.417.24.102.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
City Staff recommends the following:
1. Acceptance of the Foglesong Park Field Lights Project; and
2. Authorize City Staff to record the Notice of Completion (Attachment A) with the San Bernardino County Recorder.
