AGENDA MATTER:
AUTHORIZE THE INCREASE TO THE CITY'S MASTER EQUITY LEASE AGREEMENT WITH ENTERPRISE FLEET MANAGEMENT, FOR THE 50 CURRENT LEASED VEHICLES AND ADDITIONAL 12 LEASE VEHICLES
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
In an effort to continue utilizing the City of Barstow's Fleet Lease Program, staff has identified and ordered 12 currently owned high mileage vehicles that need to be replaced and become part of the Fleet Lease Program, in addition to the current 50 leased vehicles, for a total of 62 leased vehicles.
Staff will evaluate the Lease Program and implementation of a replacement fund and program for certain vehicles, while continuing the use the Lease Program for vehicles that must be replaced every 3-5 years.
DISCUSSION:

FISCAL IMPACT:
The Current Annual Budgeted Fiscal Impact is $488,360, which will increase approximately $345,600 with additional vehicles, to approximately $833,960 annually and is accounted for in the proposed budget for FY 2026-27.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Staff recommends that the City Council take the following actions:
1. Authorize the City of Barstow to increase the leased vehicles under the City's Master Lease Agreement with Enterprise Fleet Management for the current 50 vehicles and replacement of 12 additional vehicles and authorize the City Manager to sign contracts.
2. Authorize the increase of expenditures from the current budget to approximately $1M annually.
