RESOLUTION NO. __________
RESOLUTION OF THE BARSTOW FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT
APPOINTING DAPEER, ROSENBLIT & LITVAK, LLP AS FIRE DISTRICT CRIMINAL
PROSECUTOR AND CODE ENFORCEMENT CIVIL COUNSEL
WHEREAS, the City of Barstow has contracted with Dapeer, Rosenblit & Litvak, LLP for code enforcement services; and
WHEREAS, the Barstow Fire Protection District desires to appoint Dapeer, Rosenblit & Litvak, LLP as Criminal Prosecutor and Code Enforcement Civil Counsel; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Mayor Pro Tem, acting on behalf of the Fire District have negotiated a proposed professional services agreement between the Fire District and Dapeer, Rosenblit & Litvak, LLP for the firm to serve as Criminal Prosecutor for review and approval of the City Council, sitting in their capacity as the Fire District Board of Directors; and
WHEREAS, Dapeer, Rosenblit & Litvak, LLP has agreed to serve as Criminal Prosecutor and Code Enforcement Civil Counsel for the Fire District under the terms of the proposed agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE BARSTOW FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The Board of Directors of the Barstow Fire Protection District hereby appoints Dapeer, Rosenblit & Litvak, LLP as Fire District Criminal Prosecutor and Code Enforcement Civil Counsel, authorized to enforce and prosecute all applicable provisions of the state and local fire and building codes and the ordinances of the Barstow Fire Protection District, under the general direction of the District’s General Manager, the Fire Chief, and the Fire Marshal and subject to applicable law.
SECTION 2. The Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution and shall cause the same to be processed in the manner required by law. 443185.1 2
