DETAILED EVENT BUDGET & EVENT INCOME SOURCING
As reflected in the Main Street USA Festival Financial Reporting, the total budgeted expenses for the 2026 Main Street USA Festival are $44,585.00. Through the generous support of community sponsors, local businesses, fundraising efforts, and other eventgenerated revenue, the Committee has raised $25,927.00 (monies and in-kind donations) toward these expenses.

To help bridge the remaining funding needs and ensure the successful production of this community event, we respectfully request that the City of Barstow provide approximately $18,800 in in-kind services and support toward the following event-related expenses:
● Table and Chair Rental
● Harvey House Rental
● Temporary Use Permit (TUP) and Inspection Fees
● Police/Security Services
● Public Works Labor
● City Equipment
● Portable Restrooms, Hand-Washing Stations, and Trucks ● Printed Materials, including the Festival Flyer and Event Map The estimated value of these requested in-kind services is approximately $18,800, representing a significant portion of the festival's projected expenses. Combined with the $25,927 raised through community support and fundraising, the City's contribution would allow the Committee to leverage substantial private and community investment to successfully produce the 2026 Main Street USA Festival and Route 66 Centennial Celebration.

Community Investment
The Main Street USA Festival is a volunteer-led community event designed not only as a celebration for Barstow residents, but as an opportunity to bring visitors into Barstow during the historic Route 66 Centennial.

The Committee has worked to diversify funding so that the cost of producing the festival is shared among public agencies, private businesses, community partners, event participants, and sponsors rather than relying solely on City funding. The City's investment will help provide the infrastructure necessary to produce a safe, organized, family-friendly event while leveraging substantially greater contributions from the community.
