BACKGROUND

The California Contract Cities Association’s 2023 Sacramento Legislative Tour is scheduled for January 9-11, 2023, which conflicts with the January 9, 2023, City Council Meeting.

Staff has confirmed that there are no known conflicts at this time and verified that there are no public hearings or other matters that cannot be postponed until January 12, 2023.

Taking action at this time would allow ample public notice and allow staff sufficient opportunity to timely schedule items for the City Council Agenda.

Sacramento Legislative Tour
The Annual Sacramento
Legislative Tour (SLOT) – held
over several days in early
January, coincides with the start
of the new legislative session.

SLOT allows members to
interface with state legislators,
leadership, and constitutional
ocers to share anecdotes about
issues impacting cities.

The notability of the Contract
Cities Association in the State
Capitol strengthens our collective
voice on critical regional matters.
