SUBJECT: Consideration and possible action to select a Council Member to serve as Mayor Pro Tem for the term ending December 2023.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
On August 11, 2023, Mayor Pro Tem Raymond Y. Hamada submitted a letter resigning his position on the Bellflower City Council effective August 14, 2023. This creates the need for the City Council to select a new Mayor Pro Tem to complete the term ending December 2023, when the next City Council Reorganization is scheduled.
RECOMMENDATION TO CITY COUNCIL
1) Select a Council Member to serve as Mayor Pro Tem for the term ending December 2023; or
2) Alternatively, discuss and take other action related to this item.
