DATE: November 13, 2023

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

This action would authorize the City Manager to execute Amendment No. 3 to Agreement File No. 821 with Omni Enterprise, Inc. (“Contractor”) to extend the agreement for one (1) additional year.

RECOMMENDATION TO CITY COUNCIL

1) Authorize the City Manager to execute Amendment No. 3 to Agreement file No. 821, in a form approved by the City Attorney; or

2) Alternatively, discuss and take other action related to this item.

FISCAL IMPACT

Amendment No 3. will add $13,807.20 to Agreement File No. 821, for a total not to exceed amount of $71,479.20. Funds for the janitorial services are budgeted in the respective Building and Grounds Maintenance Accounts for each facility.

DISCUSSION

On October 22, 2018, the City entered into Agreement File No. 821 with Omni Enterprise, Inc. for janitorial services. The Agreement was for three (3) years, with the option to extend up to two (2) successive one-year terms. As the current agreement between City and Contractor is set to expire, Amendment No. 3 of Agreement File No. 821 will allow for one (1) additional one-year term from October 22, 2023, to October 21, 2024, and an updated fee schedule. The new fee schedule includes a rate increase for existing facilities, a one-time adjustment to the aquatic center rate to account for service changes resulting from the locker room improvements project not previously captured and the addition of the new Public Works administrative office.
