What are smart cities? A smart city is a place where traditional networks and services are made more efficient with the use of digital solutions for the benefit of its inhabitants and business. A smart city goes beyond the use of digital technologies for better resource use and less emissions.

CEO Börje Ekholm told investors that the first quarter was “challenging” for the vendor due to “slower deployment pace in some early 5G markets,” which was further impacted by catching up on past supply chain bottlenecks. This impact is expected to continue through the next couple of quarters.

We’re seeing this issue at all deployments including:

Baltimore, MD
-Digital Harbour – 300 residents
-United Way of MD – 5,000 residents
-RowdyOrb – 8,000 residents
Bronx, NY
-CTNY – 100 residents
We do expect to move forward with Phase 1 as the orders for those units have been in place for some time. Expected delivery is not confirmed for Christmas.

RESOLUTION:

ICCN to speed up the launch of or own fixed wireless solution.

Originally, to launch in September ’24, but has been moved up to April ’24.

This will prevent any future partnership issues with supply chain for Phases 2-4
It will also help to speed up the full deployment of Bellflower Connect from 2-3 years to less than 2 years.

Bellflower Connect is very important to ICCN and our investors.

We’re eager to help the community while demonstrating that a business model based on help the least fortunate in our communities has considerable merit. Moreover, we have 15 other communities like Belflower, Ca watching the project for their own deployments.

ICCN has had up to 5 visiting communities and partners visit the city to see some of the elements of the network. This includes communities as far away as South Africa and Tunisia as invited by the US Department of Commerce.

Launch our own CBRS/5G solution
Speed up deployment – 100%
completed by end of 2024
Focus on sustainability and
revenue
