SUBJECT: Consideration and possible action to consider the bid protest filed by New Dynasty Construction Company and declare the responsible bidder for the Bellflower Youth and Senior Center (Specification No. 23/24-07).

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
On the afternoon of Thursday, September 19, 2024, the City received a written response from Woodcliff Corporation regarding the bid protest submitted by New Dynasty Construction. Due to the untimely receipt of this response, Public Works staff is recommending that the item be postponed and moved to the City Council meeting scheduled for Monday, October 14, 2024, in order for staff thoroughly review Woodcliff’s response to the bid protest.
RECOMMENDATION TO CITY COUNCIL
It is recommended that the City Council:
1) Receive and file this report; or
2) Alternatively, discuss and take other action related to this item.
