EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Bellflower’s first Photo Contest was hosted in the fall of 2023. For the first event the City Council approved Cannabis Education Funding to be utilized for event costs and contest awards in the form of gift cards and/or other appropriate participation prizes. Staff is recommending that the same funding source be utilized for this year’s, 2nd Annual Photo Contest. All marketing of the event would include a drug prevention message targeted at vulnerable youth at risk of illicit drug use.
RECOMMENDATION TO CITY COUNCIL
1) Approve $2,000 in funding Cannabis Education Funding for the Bellflower Photo Contest; or
2) Alternatively, discuss and take other action related to this item.
