EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The Director of Parks and Recreation (“Director”) is seeking approval from the City Council to authorize the City Manager to execute Amendment No. 2 to Agreement File No. 663.2 with Golden Star Technology, Inc. (“GST”), in a form approved by the City Attorney, to continue providing Information Technology (“IT”) support and consulting services.

GST currently provides a range of IT support services and also functions as a third-party vendor for the City’s hardware and software procurement needs. The proposed amendment will extend the term of the agreement by an additional two years and update the Fee Schedule accordingly.

RECOMMENDATION TO CITY COUNCIL
1) Authorize the City Manager to execute Amendment No. 2 to Agreement File No. 663.2, in a form approved by the City Attorney, for Information Technology and Consulting Services; or,
2) Alternatively, discuss and take other action related to this item.

FISCAL IMPACT
The cost of these additional services under Amendment No. 2 is not to exceed $165,000 annually. Sufficient funds have been allocated in the City’s approved IT budget for contract services (Account No. 530-42054-9501).

DISCUSSION
GST provides frontline IT support to the City’s IT Manager two days per week, as well as on an as-needed basis to support larger projects or during periods of staff absence.

GST also offers higher-level IT engineering support when required and serves as a third-party vendor for the procurement of hardware and software.

The continued partnership with GST is critical to the City’s ongoing efforts to build and enhance its IT infrastructure, ensuring the reliability and scalability of essential systems.
