Included in the Capital Improvements Program Budget is funding for the development of new park locations utilizing Measure A funds. In September of 2025, the City Council approved a purchase agreement for the property located at 9526 Oak Street with the use of the Measure A funding allocation through the County’s Regional Park and Open Space District.
To prepare the property for future development, extensive abatement, demolition and site clean-up are required. In accordance with BMC Section 3.30.030, staff contacted qualified vendors and Integrated Demolition and Remediation, Inc. (“IDR”) provided a proposal in the amount of $93,700 to perform the requested services. IDR has completed prior abatement, remediation and demolition services for the City and is efficient and thorough.
Following completion of site cleanup, Public Works will perform the required on-going maintenance of the property until the site can be developed as park space. -1-
