DISCUSSION
On July 14, 2014, City Council approved Agreement File No. 629.1 with Southern Roadhouse, LLC (Johnny Rebs) for the use of the outdoor seating and decorative railing area in the public right-of-way south of their restaurant and property located at 16641 Bellflower Boulevard.
The property was recently sold to Modern Vegan Cuisine LLC who intends to open a new restaurant, El Riqui, and has requested continued use of the existing seating area.
This license agreement will grant El Riqui the same use of the outdoor seating and decorative railing area in the public right-of-way south of their restaurant and property located at 16641 Bellflower Boulevard. El Riqui will be responsible for maintaining the encroachment, including removal of trash, debris and graffiti. Similar license agreements have been made with Ricci’s as well as Bo’s Cigar Lounge, also located along Bellflower Boulevard.
