SUBJECT: Consideration and possible action to authorize the City Manager to execute Agreement File No. 1083.2 with Built Rite Fence Company for On-Call Fence Maintenance Services.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
This action would authorize the City Manager to execute Agreement File No. 1083.2 with Built Rite Fence Company (Built Rite) for on-call fence maintenance, repair, and installation services in an amount not-to-exceed $150,000 for a three-year term.
RECOMMENDATION TO CITY COUNCIL
1) Authorize the City Manager to execute Agreement File No. 1083.2 with Built Rite Fence Company, in a form approved by the City Attorney; or 2) Alternatively, discuss and take other action related to this item.
FISCAL IMPACT
Funding for maintenance services is included in the Public Works Maintenance and Operations Budget for fiscal year 2025-26 under various Building and Grounds Maintenance accounts.
DISCUSSION
The City requires on-call fence maintenance, repair, and installation services to ensure City facilities, parks, and municipal properties remain secure and properly maintained.
Fencing infrastructure may require routine maintenance, emergency repairs, or replacement due to damage, deterioration, or safety concerns. Built Rite will provide these services on an as-needed basis, including all necessary labor, materials, and equipment.
The agreement, if approved, will be retroactively effective from February 19, 2026 through February 18, 2029, for a total not-to-exceed amount of $150,000, with work authorized through individual Task Orders.
