DISCUSSION – Continued
In order to facilitate the achievement of the objectives of the Toxics TMDL, various agencies, including City of Bellflower recommended the installation of one monitoring station in the Los Angeles River at Wardlow Road, one in the San Gabriel River near Spring Street, and one in the Coyote Creek also near Spring Street, and to conduct monitoring at said stations. The cost would be shared by the agencies based on a 50% equal share for all agencies and 50% based on area.

On June 24, 2015, the City entered in Agreement File No. 523.1 with the GWMA for cost sharing for the installation of the recommended monitoring equipment and monitoring costs. The term of that agreement was for three years from July 1, 2015, through June 30, 2018.

On August 21, 2018, the City Manager executed Agreement File No. 523.2 extending the term of the agreement from July 1, 2018, through June 30, 2023.

On March 31, 2025, the City Manager executed Agreement File No. 523.3 extending the term of the agreement from July 1, 2023, through June 30, 2026.

Agreement File No. 523.4 will extend the agreement to June 30, 3031. The cost per the terms of the agreement is $818.17 for FY 2026-2027, $850.90 for FY 2027-2028 and $884.93 for FY 2028-2029.
