SUBJECT: Consideration and possible action to continue the public hearing to consider the issuance of a cannabis business permit for a dispensary use at 8846 Alondra Boulevard.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The public hearing to consider the issuance of a cannabis business permit ("CBP") for a dispensary use at 8846 Alondra Boulevard ("Property") was scheduled and publicly noticed for the June 8, 2026, City Council Meeting. However, Mayor Pro Tern Victor Sanchez is unable to attend the Council Meeting due to a family engagement; it is recommended that the public hearing be continued to the next City Council Meeting on June 22, 2026.
RECOMMENDATION TO CITY COUNCIL
1) Continue the public hearing to consider the issuance of a cannabis business permit for a dispensary use at 8846 Alondra Boulevard to June 22, 2026; or 2) Alternatively, discuss and take other action related to this item.
PUBLIC NOTICE
On May 27, 2026, notice of the public hearing was provided to the Applicant and to all property owners within 300 feet of the Property; on May 29, 2026, a public hearing notice was posted at the Property, City Hall, Brakensiek Library, Bellflower Substation, Thompson Park and Simms Park; and on May 29, 2026, a public hearing notice was published in the Los Cerritos Community News newspaper.
