DISCUSSION
On December 19, 2024, the City and Willdan Engineering entered into Agreement No. 163.18 for on -call planning consulting services. The Agreement includes a three-year term with a not -to -exceed contract amount of $60,000. Since December 2024, Willdan has provided staff augmentation on an as -needed basis when unexpected vacancies have occurred in the Planning Division. Most recently, Willdan provided an Associate Planner to help with daily planning duties and special projects due to two full-time planners resigning. The City was also recruiting for two full-time positions within the Planning Division and Willdan's Associate Planner assisted staff through the transition.
Based on the latest need for on -call services, the original contract amount of $60,000 has been exceeded.
Amendment No. 1 will increase the total contract amount to a not -to -exceed amount of $180,000. This Amendment will cover the charges in excess of $60,000 and will allow for any future need for on -call planning services should any unexpected vacancies occur or if any assistance is needed with special projects. No other changes to the Agreement are proposed. The three-year agreement will end on December 9, 2027.
