GRANTS AND APPROVING THE NECESSARY BUDGET AMENDMENTS
Jen Baker, Library Director, reviewed the staff report.

5 Council and Staff discussed the repurposing/reutilization of the basement, where the money would come from, whether the Library would need to come back to Council in the future for more funding for the project, who would be implementing programming at the Library, how the money would be parceled out, concern regarding duplicating services since the City already has a teen center (Kyle Hyland Teen Center), Public Comment:

1. Barbara Gervase - Ms. Gervase discussed concerns about the proposal.

2. Eric Ruchames - Mr. Ruchames spoke in support of the proposal.

Council and Staff discussed support for finding funding sources, concerns regarding long-term programming, and concern regarding expanding services with the City's current budget.
