3. Frieze Presentation from City Council Meeting on January 4, 2022 Frieze Director Christine Messineo presented the Frieze Sculpture Beverly Hills 2022 program to the Commission which included details on sculptures to be installed along Beverly Gardens Park in February 2022 as part of Frieze Week in Beverly Hills. Eight of the galleries are regional and include Beverly Hills gallery, Gagosian. The installation period is planned for February 1-8, 2022 and de-installed during the first week of May 2022. Frieze is working with the City on organizing a reception that is tentatively slated for February 10, 2022. The Commission shared some concern about Covid-related protocols, but Christine reassured Commissioners and the public that Frieze London and Frieze New York were successful events during the pandemic and Frieze Beverly Hills is following all required safety procedures.

PROJECT UPDATES
 Frieze Week in Beverly Hills Update
a) Commissioner Vahn commented on the docent program. The Frieze docent program will station one docent at each sculpture to provide a high quality experience for those touring. The docent program will then continue post-Frieze Week with the City’s permanent Fine Art Collection and artworks installed as part of the Frieze Sculpture Garden Beverly Hills through the end of April, 2022. b) The Beverly Hills Historical Society volunteered to offer materials to include in storefront window displays during Frieze Week in Beverly Hills. COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE COMMISSION
 Chair’s report
a) Mayor’s Cabinet Meeting Highlights
b) Chair Frank shared that the wrapped artwork on the Burton Way Median was discussed at the meeting. One suggestion is to include images of the artwork on the construction fence around each sculpture. In addition, there is no dedicated budget for this project, time and available staffing are being prioritized to focus on delivery of the Commission’s community events and temporary public art projects as part of Frieze Week.
c) Ad Hoc Committees
- Fine Art / Public Art (Frank, Vahn – Rogers, Acuna, Paolone, Thau) - Music and Community Outreach (Filipovic, Gordy Bristol – Harris, Ovasapyan, Thau)
