INTRODUCTION
The following report provides information for the 2022-2023 season of Team Beverly Hills (“Team BH”) applications.

DISCUSSION
Team BH is an interactive and educational program developed for residents that informs citizens about their local government representatives, departments and programs; community associations; and current community issues. The Team BH program is designed to create an environment that nurtures and encourages leadership, participation, and responsibility by the City's citizenry. The vision of Team BH is to develop and maintain an informed, energetic, and diversified resource for community involvement and leadership roles.

Recruitment Process
The class roster is comprised of 55 people. This includes 30 individuals selected by the Beverly Hills City Council (six members for each Councilmember), two Beverly Hills High School student participants, 18 City residents selected through a random lottery process, and five representatives from the City’s business community (appointed by the City Council from the applications received).

The City Council approved the addition of these five representatives from the business community to be added to the Team BH class during the July 15, 2021 Study Session meeting. The five representatives from the business community will be a new addition to the Team BH class for the 2022-2023 season.

Staff is planning to begin the recruitment process with the attached applications on May 1, 2022. The applications will be due on June 30, 2022. Staff will finalize both the recruitment and session dates during the upcoming months and coordinate with City Departments and the City Council to schedule the dates, as appropriate.
