INTRODUCTION
The Planning Commission (PC) Interview Panel composed of Mayor Lili Bosse and Councilmember Lester J. Friedman, Chair Andy Licht and Vice Chair Tom Hudnut met on Friday, May 13, 2022.
The panel interviewed eight (8) applicants for one vacancy on the Commission. One applicant withdrew and did not move forward in the interview process. Seven interviews were conducted in-person and one applicant was interviewed by telephone.
DISCUSSION
After discussion and careful review, the Panel recommended Jeff Wolfe to fill the position of Commissioner Tom Hudnut, who has resigned and will be leaving at the end of his first term on June 30, 2022. Mr. Wolfe must attend all Planning Commission meetings leading up to his appointment.
FISCAL IMPACT
None.
RECOMMENDATION
The interview panel recommends that the City Council appoint Jeff Wolfe to the Planning Commission. With the concurrence of the City Council, a formal report will be prepared for adoption at the June 14, 2022 City Council Regular Meeting.
The City is fortunate to have an extraordinary applicant pool. Community members are encouraged to re-apply for upcoming vacancies. Applicants who have not participated in Team Beverly Hills are urged to apply for the program.
